Thank you Ted, I took about ten shots of this deer but I thought this pose was the funniest. Coming up with a poem to illustrate it was more of puzzle.

What a fun title. What inspired you to write this title!

-A poem for inquisitive minds.
-Interesting poem for its theme.

Thanks for this insight, I really never thought about this. A picture really is worth a thousand words.

The picture I took of the deer inspired it. I took about ten picture of her but I thought this one was the more amusing. Since deer and ear rhyme I went with that for the poems. I never thought about before either.

Interesting idea for a poem. My guess is that animals rub up against a tree to scratch their itch. That doe has to twist his/her self around to use front leg to scratch ear.

I thought this photograph I took was funny. Look again. She is scratching with her back leg like a dog would. I took ten shots but this was the funniest. Coming up with a poem was more challenging. I would have thought they would use a tree too. I guess she didn't want to lose her spot on my grass.

Your picture for the contest is awesome, Beth. Your poem is
awesome, too. I liked how you compared the tame/wild critters.
You're right about God giving each of the ways to help them
survive. This is one of the best entries I've read in this contest.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

What a lovely little poem and I loved the layout as well. A very good subject as I often wonder about these sort of things. One spag in the title.

How do wild creatures deal with bug(s)?

This is a funny poem, the spiritual essence is notable; there are so many things we do not think about; we can take care of our pets at home and we may help them if possible or in case of need, in the wild, a doe may scratch her ear, if something is hard, Lord takes care of their activities if there is none to look after an animal's act in day to day living; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

Thank you DR. I'm glad you found it funny. I was hoping for that. I hadn't realized until I saw this deer they could get this leg over their shoulder.

What an incredible thing to be without hands to scratch one's ear, or some sort of clever device to take its place. This is an excellent ballad style post Beth to illustrate your beautifully written poem, an outstanding job, well done, blessings Roy

The author words are thought provoking. I never thought about who
helps wild animals if they have an itch! Glad to hear a doe can scratch her
ear. One suggestion in the third stanza last line should the word be
won't not want? The artwork is awesome and compliments this poem.

Good rhyming and is easy to read. I like the picture you have chosen. Your words show your love of animals. It is amazing how our Creator designed each of His creations with the ability to look after themselves.

Thank you Anne, I appreciate the review. I hadn't thought them being able to do that until I saw the deer. Yes, God has provided they will agile bodies.
