There is nothing I love better then a poem that rhymes beautifully and this one does! You have given the reader an insight into who you are, I feel like I know you much better. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest. :)

You have given an excellent reveal of yourself in this poem. What you do to keep the bread on the table, but that your pleasures and passions lie elsewhere, and above all the fulcrum of your life, your husband . I particularly liked that retirement is not for you - snap - and your conclusion. Many years ago, I decided "life is not a spectator sport". Many echos and similarities. Kate xx

What you do to keep the bread on the table, but that your pleasures and passions lie elsewhere, and above all the fulcrum of your life, your husband . I particularly liked that retirement is not for you - snap - and your conclusion. Many years ago, I decided "life is not a spectator sport". Many echos and similarities. Kate xx

Thank you, Katherine, for this excellent review. The bulk of my income is from what I love most: teaching children. The real estate is just for "extras" and savings.
I love the word "fulcrum" in relation to my husband. That is a PERFECT description.
And a fellow "participant" in all life has to offer, eh? No wonder I always had such a good feeling about you!!
