This is very well written, and I like the idea of leaving things as an open dialogue at the end - that sets this apart from most of the other entries I've read. Nicely done.

Spag notes:
'willing to forgive of even the worse crimes' - the 'of' can be removed
'I can come to you as child comes to their father.' - I think this needs an 'a' before 'child'

Thank you, Mike. I appreciate the review and comments. I'm glad you noticed the stray "of". I've removed it.

Fairly, you have addressed God so heartily, frankly and asked simple question of your doubts about behaviour of the Christians with you and others who have different perspectives, you think, nothing is fair, you need an open dialogue with God about peoples' wrong attitudes and unbecoming and untoward religious behaviour; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

Thank you for an open and honest review. I hope i'm doing the right thing posting a personal prayer.

Your prayer was very loving and humble, Beth. I could have asked the same things for mankind and for myself. I have always had that open end prayer with God. I was raised in a Southern Baptist atmosphere and I am a Christian. This is a fine prayer. Good Luck. Nancy:)

Wish I had a six left. I feel almost intrusive as you speak with such love to and for the Lord Jesus. I echo every one of your prayers. It must give Him great joy to see and hear your words. May He bless you richly. Best wishes for the contest.

Thank you Wendy, I really appreciate your review and comments. I feel a little uncomfortable posting something so personal in a contest. I don't believe the Lord would judge or rate our words.

Yes, I feel a bit or a lot the same way. Each one is from the heart and each is as special to Him as the unique person who wrote it from the heart. Yet, I think we are encouraging one another and uplifting one another at the same time. And perhaps others will be challenged. But it is hard to conceive of a ?winner? in a contest. I agree with you.

Beth your prayer is so sincere and I know God heard your prayer.
I'm sure God heard when you said----
Lord, I'm not going to end this prayer. I want an open dialogue with you, so I can just say what is on my mind at any moment and know you are always with me and listening

Your personal relationship with God is clear in the letter. Paragraph three is my favorite. It voices thoughts in my own head. An open dialogue is what everyone should have! Good luck in the contest. For me, this is a winner.

Thank you so much for the excellent review and for the six stars. I feel a little uncomfortable putting a personal prayer in a contest. I'm okay with not winning. I'm not sure I want a prayer rated.

This is a sincere prayer to God filled with honest concerns, questions, emotions, and thanksgiving. It is particularly difficult to pray for the well being of those we do not agree with...like criminals, or Christians with a different philosophy. I particularly like that you said, "I want an open dialogue with You." I hope you do well in the contest.

What a great prayer, everybody sees the simple things but they don't see the struggle between the powers of darkness and light, the seemingly endless wickedness of men, still putting their trust in the basic "goodness", but this is what happens when we alienate the Father, beautiful prayer, we need to invoke the power of God, this must have been written when Evan was struggling with health, Beth? Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy. No actually this was written today. My son was rushed to the ER yesterday. He has had bad heart problem and yesterday his blood pressure was 185/135. I was afraid he would have a stroke. They released him from the hospital today an is pressure is down but he still isn't feeling well. I meant every work of my prayer but I feel a little uncomfortable about entering it in a contest. I'm not sure prayers should be rated.

I've really enjoyed reading all these Dear God entries and I love the honest and openness you've shared in yours. You've also made a good point in that we all should keep the communication lines open with God, always! Thanks for sharing.
