Really ? isn't that an interesting format of the Jisei - -a poem written before their own death - I wonder what Fanstorians might come up with for this format ?

Gypsy,
This jisei is a nice love poem that shows you want to be looking into your love's eyes as you die. So, it seems, You want to die first.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Lovely jisei poem which combines the beauty of the sunset which also symbolizes the death of the day as well as the end of life, with the beauty of the loved one's eyes. It makes it easier to leave this world remembering all the love and beauty experienced.

Smiles you did so well with your Jisei Poem
The Last Thing I Do
It does have a sad tune, the thing is you express your self in your authors
notes poem written by the poet before their own death.

This was a wonderful and remarkable Jisei, Gypsy. It definitely showed that your final wish would be to see the sunset in its beauty through another's eyes. I truly loved this one. Blessed be n hugs!

This is such a strong reflective thought. When pondering one's death I can see these words dawning in the heart and flying up to the lips to be whispered gently! Lovely sentiment beautifully said!

Very evocative. I wondered what it might be like to switch the 'is' in line 3 to 'be' so it reads "may the last thing...be to watch". Just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing.

M.,
What a beautiful, sentimental moment! I can see this being spoken by someone truly in love and who is willing to share the depths of their heart (oh, obviously NOT my hubby.) hahaha
One small note, if I may:
may the last thing
I do in life
is to watch
the sunset in your eyes
*
may the last thing

(be) to watch
the sunset in your eyes
*
Lovely!
Thanks so much!

This is a beautiful last image. I wish I knew more to say than "beautiful." I don't know what else to say about it. Thank you for sharing this here, and best wishes to you.
