This is really well written and captures the real story of Easter in a creative manner. I found it easy to read and none of the rhymes felt forced or pushy. You captured the reverence (with capitalization) and clearly have a great grasp of how to write. This was very well done, I am glad I found it this morning.

Great rhyming, and a well re-telling of the Easter story. Our Lord suffered so much for our sins and we celebrate Him not only at Easter but all year round. I am so glad I know Him as my Saviour and Lord.

You have shared the Good News Message very well in this abab quatrain poem. It is an excellent entry in the Faith contest. I especially appreciate the concluding verse.

Thanks, Spangle. Yes, that last stanza might be the most important one in the poem.

This is an amazing poem. Well put together nice flow and rhyme scheme.
False prophets, in this troubled world, abound,
And ere the dread apocalypse begins, Make sure your peace with God's on solid ground,
And don't forget Who died for all your sins.
Good luck in the contest

The old story told straight from your heart is a good reminder this Easter Season. A bit longer than to my taste, but my experience with Baptist preachers reminds me of their "when on a roll, keep rollin'!"

Thanks, Reese. Yes, my mother was a staunch Baptist. It must have rubbed off.

Hi Paul, you have written a wonderful poem about why the Christian world celebrates Easter. I hope this well written poem will find favour with the judges. Good luck. And happy Easter. Ulla:)))

This poem is quite an accomplishment--skillfully written, reverent yet
triumphant in tone, vividly and Biblically accurate in its details. This piece has moved me deeply.

Outstanding poem. Extremely well written, and extremely moving. You have traced the whole story starting from Palm Sunday through to the crucifixion, resurrection, and establishment of the church of those who believe in and follow Him, and concluding with a direct personal challenge. Very impressive. I am sure this will be a winner in the contest - best wishes.
