This chapter supplies a convincing peek into the harsh life in the Benedictine monastry, where no comfort seems to be programmed or allowed. The problem for me was I found the jumps from the time of the monastry to the present and back distracting.

Thank you for your involved review. Just as people in this lifetime wonder if a certain trigger, such as a culture or location is a possible trigger from a past life, it is working backwards for Madeline as Samuel. For instance instead of having to ask why she hates wet wood, she knows why she has so much trouble with it in the 21st century. This is a learning period for her.
