One could relate this to any and all wars, I relate to the current one in Ukraine, those poor people trying to escape, survive, and fight,
"gray foggy morning" I feel this is every morning for them, an excellent read that will tug at everyone's heart, very well written****kahpot

I like this Somonka poem. It's about love and I love poems that are about love because poetry is expressive of our feelings, especially about love. Love envokes strong emotion.

You packed an entire novel in these two stanzas of the somonka form. You fully described what it must be like for these families separated by this "senseless war." I especially liked "waves of longing drown my heart."

I was thinking about all the families separated in the war, how painful it must be but I adapted it to fit the poetic form. I'm happy you like it. When I think I know all Japanese Poetry I find another form ... It's amazing. I guess you can say the same for western poetry but that doesn't interest me.
