Oh, so pretty!
I'm just the opposite, I love to see His
handiwork in the stars at night, 'neath a
midnight moon.
I think it's been years since I've seen a sunrise,
and I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, ha ha.
Love this!!!

Ballads are my favorite form of poetry. They are simple but they seem to flow so naturally. Heaven had created in nature a form of praise that even the birds and animals and trees seem to understand.

Your poem is lovely and excellent in every respect--skillfully written with great rhyming and meter and vivid descriptions of the glories of dawn.
Expressive blend of literal and figurative language.

Oh, is there no end to your talent? No, there is not...just when I think I have read every type of verse you can pen - you up and surprise me once again. This is just so lovely and makes me feel like singing. Thank you for this awesome verse.

They praise the source of mercy...this is my favorite line here. It is truly a wondrous thing to have a loving God watch over us. He is due the best we have to give. You cited the perfect verse with Lamentations 3:22-23. Blessings, my friend!

Roy,
This is a good mixture of artwork and words. I like the smoothness of poem as we move from night to day. I like the personification and metaphors used to describe birds and wind.
Keep writng and stay healthy

Loved your praise poem, Roy! In the observation of the earthly sunrise, your spiritual eyes saw the Heavenly scene of all creation in Heaven and Earth giving praise to the Lord!

A beautiful poem about the morning, and God's faithfulness to us. I love that passage from Lamentations, that God's mercies are new every morning. So glad I know Him.
