This poem, Autumn's Wardrobe Change, presented in four quatrains, shows an obedient leafy army falling at request to blanket the kingdom with gold before the winter comes. Nice.

What a lovely description. Thank you.

Very appropriate as fall is finally here. I do not like raking the leaves but think it is the most colorful season of them all. You have captured this season really well in this poem and I loved reading it. In fact, I actually read it several times it is that good. Thank you so much for sharing.

A very nice description of autumn. The second stanza is the strongest with a really great simile.
The hardwood trees all lose their crown
When autumn leaves come drifting down.

A fine nature write about the Autumnal season and the preparation for winter.
This line for me is out of meter, but I expect it depends on pronunciation. Foliage has 3 syllables, but I expect you pronounce it with two here:
When foliage tumbles to the ground
Love Dolly x

Thank you. Yes, you're right. Down here, foliage is a two-syllable word. 8-)

Your poem is exceptional in every respect. You have used an expressive, colorful array of figures of speech--metaphor, simile, personification--to describe late fall and winter.

Are you guys getting color change yet in your trees? Still green here, but I bet they are starting to turn up at my place at Greers Ferry. Good tribute to the Fall season.

Thank you for this wonderful review and stars! Not a lot of change in color, but some. Won't be long now, I hope, until Fall is here!

Your poem is lovely and I enjoyed reading it. I love the rhyme. The meter gives it a lyrical sound and the imagery if wonderful. The picture caught my attention immediately. I love this tine of year.

It is an excellent fall poem. I appreciate you holding it. I think everyone iw rushing a season I don't look forward to. Here in the south fall and winter are slow in coming and nothing has changed here yet, although it won't be long. I really like this well-rhymed poem. It reads very smoothly.

I'm in Arkansas, and while things haven't changed much, I can feel it in the cooler days. You're probably going to think I'm weird, but I love autumn and winter, my favorites. Thank you for a great review. 8-)

Winter has come, damommy. I loved the picture and of course the rhyme. Your words definitely showed that the seasons have and will change and only time and Mother Nature will tell. Great job, and very well enjoyed.

Thank you. It's finally looking like autumn here, and I'm so glad.

You are so welcome, Yvonne, just remember that autumn is always followed by winter, lol. You may be glad now but wait until the winter.
