A lovely poem with great rhyme and meter. Congratulations on the contest win -- it's well deserved. I've read several articles recently that say when one enters the place reserved for writing, the mind jumps into gear to write. I'm glad you have your own little corner. Love the picture! Blessings. I like that picture of the typewriter, saw an old Royal one in the window of a store the other day, and it brought back memories. So glad we now can type on our computer, and correct errors so much easier. Thanks for sharing your poem with us.

Hi, Anne! Thank you so much for the wonderful review - am so happy that you enjoyed My Own Little Corner! My dad was an office machine repairman for the Air Force. He knew how much I wanted to learn to type (I thought he was amazing because he could type without "looking" at the keys)! LOL! Anyway, for Christmas, when I was 12, he found an old, used Royal typewriter, fixed it up and painted it PINK for me! I'll never forget it... so adorable... and it was one of my best Christmas presents ever! Yes... so happy that we have been computerized and corrections are a breeze! Wonder what they'll have in another 50 years from now! Thank you again for the wonderful review and have a grand evening!

This reminds me of a song in a musical version of Cinderella. She sang a song In My Own Little Corner- In my own little corner in my own little chair I can be whatever I want to be- that's how we all work it too. We find our favorite comfy spot and we can write about whatever we feel like at that time. Good luck with the contest.

Oh my goodness... Yes! I loved the musical to Cinderella! I originally titled this piece, "A Little Corner," and I think in the back of my mind that song came back to me and I had to change it! Thank you so much, Patty, for the lovely review... I am so happy that you enjoyed!
