Hello there, I love your poem on your photo of the old barn. I live upstate New York and there's tons of old barns abandoned, they are fascinating to look at and wonder. I wish you luck!

Thank you so much for the review and comment. I'm so glad you liked the poem. I've always loved barns. It think the ones in the Northern states are usually better built. It is colder in winter than in the South. I found barns in Pennsylvania very interesting. Many Dutch symbols painted on them.

Bravo! Comparing one's aging to this old barn is quite clever. You can still be useful in many ways, even though you cannot do the same things you did when you were younger.
When we accept what we can do, it is easier and wiser to recognize our limitations.
I am sure, as you were writing this, you thought that barn was still beautiful in your eyes.
Look at the gift you have to write as well as you do. You are an inspiration.

The author's words are clear, descriptive, interesting and creative. I pondered on the words of this poem. I thought about my own life and
how fast the years went. The last two lines resonated with me. The poem
flows and connects well. The artwork is great and goes well with this poem.

Beth, your rhyming poem is excellent, and it flows nicely.
I like the way you blended a grey barn with the mention of aging. I also felt it personally as some of my friends at home have left , as you symbolize in the missing farmhouses.
