Thank you for highlighting James Taylor. He is definitely one of my very favorites. I could listen to James Taylor (and Raffi) all day long. When he starts to sing, my blood pressure drops.
I look forward to your Christmas posts and more of Sweet Baby James. This September Grass song was a timely and perfect choice for #38.

What you said is true. There was no You Tube, or those other fancy music listening devices. " I went in with a friend, and we shared the 'Sweet Baby James' LP record. What we did way back then for a good song! " Maybe the radio family shared. I did at some point have a transistor radio to help me get to sleep. I still get triggered with the sound of the patriotic end of the radio station. I had to scramble to find another one. had a feather bed and a feather puff, now adays called a comforter.

Hi Sal.
Since I live in NC, I am very familiar with his work back to the 60s. I remember his work with Carole King over 50 years ago runs. Tapestry and Sweet Baby James.

Yes, an "undiscovered great"--for me, anyway. I've listened to James Taylor FOREVER, but had never heard this one will today. This is a very good, expressive write. (Nine lines from top, you need "when" after
"grade.")

You did a great job, Sally. I really like your choice for this position. Yes, JTaylor was an influential musician in many ways. You pay great tribute to him and his music. Thanks for the videos and notes, too.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you for covering James Taylor! Loved his music and guitar playing. I think he suffered from depression and some of his music shows it. My favorite song of his is Fire and Rain. Great choice, Sally!

Thanks--hadn't heard this one! My favorite is Handy Man--his version is soft and slow vs the original artist's sing-song manic rendition totally out of keeping with the theme. Keep counting down ...
