Spot-on--all too often care-givers are overlooked in favor of the ones they tend--indeed, they warrant care as you so poignantly and gracefully convey.

Thank you, Liz! It's a very difficult job especially if it's a loved one and you can't do anything to help them feel better.
Hugs!

Oh, I can imagine how sleep would be hard. It helps for me to take a deep breath in, hold for a few seconds, and breathe out twice as slowly. Will pray that you get good sleep tonight. 💖🙏

Both of my daughters are nurses that have gone on to become doctors. They have put in many hours helping the sick and injured. I will show them you lovely tribute.

Thanks so much, Jan. Wanted others to know. Linda doesn't sign on here often but we all know and love her. Hugs!

A lovely poem showing understanding and insight. Sometimes the carers become burnt out themselves, and also need support and understanding. Your poem is an encouragement - and is also beautifully written.

So true! And when the one they've been caring for is taken to be with the Lord, it's such a hard adjustment. Thanks for understanding, Wendy. Hugs!

Helen,
Your kyrielle poem and offering from your heart and dedicated caregivers is beautifully written.
"Lord bless those whose gift is care." Indeed!
I've been praying for Linda and her family. Mother's Day will be difficult for her this year.
Bless you for this,
Anna

You understand perfectly. It's always those first celebrations after a loved one is called Home that is hard here on Earth. Thanks for the wonderful review, Anna! Hugs!

Thank you for sharing that beautiful prayer for all of the caregivers out there. I pray that the Lord will be with L. Raven, and give her comfort and strength at this time.

I am so sorry for her loss and please pass on my condolences. I will certainly keep her and her family and friends in prayer for comfort during their time of grieving. It is tough when you have cared for the one you have lost. I did it for both of my parents and it does take its toll.

This is another lovely tribute, Helen. You too are a very caring person. As our families age, taking care of our elderly becomes a natural thing to do, but it can be stressful for sure.

Thank you, Judy! Some people are given the duty/blessing of caring for their elderly relatives. Others don't get to see them at all. Hugs!

When we do prayer requests at church, we always speak of the sick and their caregivers. Life is often hard for those caring for loved ones with long-term illnesses. Your kyrielle is so well-written and moving, written on a topic that is always relevant.
