As a citizen of the World's largest democracy, I respect freedom of speech, respect for lives and equality. In India, we have diversity which would difficult for the Americans to understand. Despite all the differences, we are surviving. Interesting poem. Good luck in the contest!

Seshadri, As I grow a step closer, everyday, to return to my Creator, I come into each day firstly grateful for this day, secondly for my day to be centered on projecting to all of life mu Highest and Best self, thirdly praying for all Americans to find there there original Spiritual source and reconnect with it as God's intended spirit toward one another. Our Federal and State governance has put man worst steps forward with too much focus on personal action which begets, power, corruption and wron goings.

The swings from left to right of the pendulum can cause your country to lose its direction and you probably have the same feeling as a lot of Americans here as you just want peace, but it can peace can only be attained with a good strong government at the helm. I'm not sure American has that now, but I wish you luck, love Dolly x

This is an excellent entry for this contest. I wrote a poem also, but felt like it didn't really fit the prompt that well. It is hard for me to say all I want to say in three equally short stanzas. You have a really good one here which will do well, I'm sure, in this contest. Best wishes. ~ MM

Thank yo MM, I too am like you! It is nearly impossible to write anything about our current political landscape. All I know is that if we do not have turnover in the halls of Federal Governance and vote in people on both sides of the political spectrum that focus on LEADERSHIP, MUTUAL RESPECT, DECORUM and BALANCED SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND A FISCALLY RESPONDSIBLE BUDGET CONSCIOUS, America as I used to know it will be no more.

When I read the prompt--NO negative statements about either party!--I said, "I can't do this one!" WOW! You have REALLY done it. The last stanza is the best--with a slight edge over the others. BRAVO!
