Hi Geoff, I needed a bit of time away from reviewing. Yes, I've been posting yet another story, but that's what I also want. Writing that is. But here I am, and I can see you've been busy getting things which are a help to both of you. You do have some good ideas though. Not so good about the cups. Lots of regards to both of you.Ulla:)))

Thanks, Ulla, I was not sure you had been through but here you are. Glad you enjoyed this one of the ladies has already given me an idea for covering the stove controls when not in use. I need to work on that.

It's surprising sometimes the helpful things that can be found once you start looking.

Just one point: In the following, you haven't closed the bracket: 'I got a good price and "Sco Mo" (a nickname for our Prime Minister's grant money was a great help.'

Thanks very much will fix = you are the first one to pick this up with the "plethora" of great reviews this has had. Someone gave me a good idea for covering the controls on the stove when not in use, as well!

Yeah well if I waited for my wife to get up she would do it too but we have to wait for the carer to tend to her before she gets up each day. Thanks for the great review.

I like knowing all the interesting things going on with you. The wooden stove cover sound wonderful. My stove won't come on by having the controls bumped but I have been guilty of accidently turned on the wrong. Maybe there is some kind of control covers you could put over them when you don't need to use them. Most of you problems seems to have solutions. Nicely written.

Thank you for sharing the events of your life with us. Good to see you and the Missus are COVID safe. These are such uncertain times.
I have the same sort of flat top stove and live the idea of the cover. I love the idea of a cover for it, and I'm sure Louise enjoys the gift and the thought behind it.

They call the checks for COVID relief, Stimulus Checks here, lol. It's nice to get extra money to help.
I'm glad you've gotten, what we call a Rollator here, to help you get around. They are very supportive.

Glad to know your Government is helping too. Have seen that rollator term in some of the selling places. The Government supplied the walker as well. Seems they are keen to keep us out of Nursing Homes as still cheaper for us to live in our home with help. Thanks for coming by.

Yes, the government here prefers people to stay at home. My husband and I are caring for his mother in the home. They send a nurse out every week to check on her and are available 24 hours a day in case she gets really sick.
