Hello Yvonne.
This is a very encouraging piece written about your son. I don't write a great deal of free verse but free verse is in the eyes of the writer. Yours tells his story of what he does every day. What else can a story do? You also do a great job of tying in the word "sparkle" as the subject of the poem.

Thank you so much, Robert. I was blessed with the sons God gave me. I always said He knew I didn't know what I was doing, so He sent me good material. 8-)

The truth of a person is always shown in his/her eyes. If the eyes don't match the words or actions then you know it is wrong. It sounds like your son has a good heart and his eyes show it.
