Had to read thrice to decode the message. Beautiful!
Sounds somehow like hypocrisy redefined or an exhortation to teach by experience for only then can one be humble enough to correct or direct others, having understand the struggle to be good.

Hello Jessie,
I hope you are doing well. This is an honest poem written from your heart. You are right, we sometimes are preaching to those who already heard the issues of today. I like your view from where you sit. Sometimes we need to take a pause and see this world for what it really is. There's too much hate and not enough kindness in the United States. We need more LOVE today. Nice message. Thanks

Hello Joyce.
I am hanging in there, with many challenges to face and overcome, yet, I am doing it (at my own pace). I am pleased that you asked me. I hope all, is as well as can be expected for you, also.
I really appreciate that you approve, and noticed the title and line above it, and how you see the meaning for what it is. You nailed it with the phrase, "too much hate and not enough kindness." 'Love' is always the answer. Thanks for your kindness.

This poem, Preach to the Preachers, seems to point to the people who are learning to be considerate of others through the lens of not infecting others.

Thank you, Bill, for your interesting perspective. It may appear to you in the way you say, but that was not my intention. Thank you for your review and excellent rating. Have a good holiday.

That's the best place to look...inside, when there's something that hurts us, do we become bitter, no way, we look within to see to malady of humankind, and if we aren't different...become different. Beautifully written Jesse, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy, for your introspective look at what we need to do and how this relates to what I've written. I like your 'take' on this piece. I appreciate the kind words and thoughtful review. I wish you a Happy New Year.

Excellent message in this one Jesse. We definitely live in crazy times when you don't know who you can trust and believe. Our country and actually the world is so divided.
I loved the picture you chose. It captures your message in a powerful way.
Well done Jesse
Blessings

Yes, Jesse, yes!! ;) Would that more would take your stance, my wise friend... I daresay there'd be far less KAREN's in our world today and, perhaps, even far less strife and inexplicable anger... ugh. :/ :/ A beautiful offering for the present times, sir -- thanx for your gentle light! ;) Yvette

Wow, Yvette. What a breath of fresh air, from the reviews preceding yours, as well as the ones after yours. I love your positive attitude, (as well as realistic). I really appreciate your categorization of my offering as a "gentle light!" It makes me feel fuzzy and warm all over. I am happy that you 'get' where I am coming from, and agree with the premise, as well. Thank you for this marvelous review. Have a great week and the upcoming holiday season!

I read with interest your take on the present situation we all are facing in every country. People seek out the social settings they prefer as they feel comfortable. Over time a nation grows and gets segregated. Yes.We need to look inward and find ways to revolutionize the present think for the good of mankind!

A very well-written poem. Each one of us are able to know what is good for us and what not. No one else can force us to do things that us not natural behaviour like staying home and not going to church.

Great message, Jesse! It's appalling that the virus had caused a political divide. It's hard to know whom to believe but like you said, we must be kind to ourselves and to each other. You have the most gentle voice in expressing a much needed rant!

Thank you for this impressive assessment of my poem and for pointing out the political divide even in the light of the answer we have all been looking for, the vaccine for the virus. I appreciate your kind comments on my "gentle voice" in the form of "a much needed rant!" Thank you for backing me up and for this marvelous review. Have a Merry Christmas!
