This is a very tender and heartbreaking poem you have written, I hope it brings some comfort to her during this difficult time. Of course I will pray that she gets through this, I understand having lost both my brother and sister a year apart. The pain passes and good memories replace it. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much, Boogienights, for your excellent and very empathetic review. I appreciate your thoughtful comments, everything you shared and especially your prayers. I also lost a brother in 2005, and experienced both the intense grief and the sense of relief as it eventually eased, with time. But two losses, a year apart? That must have been very hard to bear. If either or both of your parents were alive, it had to be devastating for them -- I know it was, for my Mom (my father had already passed on). But good memories are very important to hold onto, and a source of comfort. I like your profile picture -- cute puppy! God bless you and the rest of your family, and Merry Christmas!

Hello Mary Kay,
What a loving and moving tribute to Jan and her loving care for her brother.
The message is poignant and your form is creative.
But it is the message that resonates with me the most. Losing a loved one is so incredibly difficult on so many levels. You have encapsulated those feelings, and I am certain Jan is most appreciative.
Thank you, Mary Kay!

-A beautiful image and
poem and notes to go with it, Mary Kay.
-Everything came from your heart
and reached into mine.
-I am glad you wrote this tribute
to Jan and her brother Tim.
-It had to have been so difficult
for her to see him battling
this disease, but I am sure he
appreciated all of her loving care,
and the fact that she was there
for him at the end so he wasn't alone.
-Thank you for sharing and also
creating a new form for this
special poem and for Jan, a
special FanStory member.

There is no greater love that man can have than that for his brother/sister. In solidarity and prayer for the uplifting in Spirit for Jan and her family- my family and I send strength through our prayers and thoughts.
Thank you Mary Kay for lightening the burden of your friend/ our friend Jan by creating a new poetic style and for bringing her to the forefront of our thoughts.
