Thanks for joining in the Renga book, Pam! You always do such a great job with nature themes! Love that picture and yes, hearing the birds sing reminds us that there is a natural world so much bigger than our own.

"Birds Sing Tuneful Songs", is an extremely well-written, and delightfully descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Hello Pam,
You've written a marvelous haiku for Gypsy's book
with excellent imagery of nature seen on your walk,
and precise grammatical connection in the first two lines.
The satori line is a perfect reflective thought,
much needed in these chaotic times.
Exactly as the old masters did.
Great choice of art work to match.
Very well done.
Best wishes.

This is a lovely follow-up poem with a lovely picture which sets the stage for your words. I love birds and birdsong. Your poem follows the rules for the 5/7/5 format perfectly and is very well done.

Lucky you to live near a lake and such colorful birds--even a hummingbird! I enjoyed your 5-7-5 and the beautiful creatures plus their songs. Cheers- Joan

Thanks for the review, Joan. I appreciate your comments about the birds and their songs, as well as being on a lake. It is a peaceful community.
Comment from Gloria ....
Being a fellow bird-lover I appreciate your Renga contribution very much. The peaceful existence which might seem contrary to calm in fact works in concert together because the birds, sun and lake all "listen" to each other.
Excellent contribution and a fine read today, Pam. :)

You have made excellent use of your seventeen syllables in this lovely piece about nature's power to engender wonder and peace--the reason I love my daily walks!

Hello, Pam,
Many haiku masters are inspired for their haiku while going for a walk... it's a form of zen practice. Your 5/7/5 is perfect for our renga book. Thank you for adding the author notes and most of all for adding your beautiful haiku.
