Lovely verse in praise of a lovely looking son. What a lovely way to honour a child, wish I had the skill to do this for my kids, best I can do is insert their names and descriptions in as characters in my books. Nice verse, nice sentiment. Well done.

Since I no longer can hold him in my arms, I must find a way to express the love in my heart. I am sure if you walked in my shoes, you too would be able to write the same. Thanks, Carol

Mine are "all growed up" and setting up their own lives now, so I can share that sentiment - but I simply make a hash of poetry, even free verse!

Your poem is so heart rending and bittersweet. I am crying just looking at his beautiful little face. I can't imagine the pain and anguish of losing a child. It's wonderful that you could introduce him to us with such a wonerful poem. You came a long way to be able to write this, I'm sure. Thank you for sharing his memory with us. I speak for eveyone at FS to say we love you for your coutage and just because you're you. Love,

What a beautiful little boy and he is the spitting image of you, you must be so very very proud even though sad.
The words say it all, you are an inspiration, sometimes those that have suffered are the best writers, you are one of those.

Thank you for introducing me to an angel. He is beautiful! How wonderful to have your very own with a smile to light the way. I have tears as I think how hard it was for you to trust him back to his Creator until you can join him again. God bless you in the journey!

Thank you for your most beautiful thoughts. God gave me another gift in return...a baby boy. They said I could never have another child but God works in mysterious ways. Even though we both almost died...we didn't have Matthew and I share a great bond too. Thanks, CArol

This is an excellent short love poem. It is filled with motherly love. The picture added a lot to your poem. It held my interest and it flowed with enjoyment. Good luck in the contest!

You are just making me cry. I never even had a son and so much wanted one. This is so beautiful - jada just cried. He is indeed a special little boy and will live in your heart forever. He was lent to you for those few years to savour every minute you had together.
Thanks for sharing. luv jada

I truly believe that too. He did so much more than ordinary four year olds. Like he had to leave me a life time of memories in a few short years. Thanks for the comments. Carol

This is truly an angelic boy, and your poem is an excellent reminder that is is impossible for mortals to comprehend God's motives. It is a very sweet poem and instantly called to mind The untimely death of my sister. Sometimes people rant and rave over death, and most of all the death of a child. In time, if you believe in the afterlife in heaven you accept death in all its' pain. Thank you for sharing this memorial poem of your precious angel. Ed Mowen

I believe the at my son and my grandson stand at Heaven's gate waiting and watching us until our time to meet them again. Without that belief I would not be able to make it through each day. Carol

He's beautiful - and so is your writing. I don't believe there can be a greater love than that between parent and child. Your poem made me want to cry. That's all I want to say really. Sally
