A very nice piece to boost one's slf esteem. A clear message of yes you can; to me at least. You have done an excellent job of expressing yourself, I see no need for corrections.

Hallowed is the ground where one's life has been taken, or one's spirit renewed. A very well written poem with a good rhyming scheme that makes for an easy read. It has good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Others will follow Willingly...set free, I didn't like that line so much, not quite sure why, I'll think on, i'm sure it will come to me. Other then that , nice piece.

Are you an Aussie, mate??
Listen, I really want to thank you for your comment on that last part about "willingly". So glad you brought it up. I feel I might know why you are not sure about.
I also have wrestled with that. When a dear friend says, "Yes you can" after many self-doubts, and you "do", it's awesome. And my point at the end was that perhaps I could be an example that if others saw that even little 'ole me can, then they could too.
On the other hand, it can come across as sounding a bit arrogant on my part; that I want others to follow me. And that is certainly not what I wanted to convey. I need to put more thought into it.
Anyway, again, so glad you had the same reservations about it as me and you highlighted that. (or, perhaps I'm wrong and you weren't sure about it for another reason). If you care to think about it, that would be cool!
Big thanks!

Nope...no Aussie there. Just read your bio.. Ha! Ha!
I lived in Australia and my kids were born there, so I was so used to hearing the "no worries, mate", part.

Your words make it seem so easy. So many us have that fear of the unknown and procrastinate when it comes to changing directions in our life. Well written, smooth and enjoyable read.
No guide, nor a map
Only a voice that says yes
Lost until found
Upon conceding...no digress
We have the power and the strength within us to overcome the fear and you state that clearly in the above passage. kay

Ellie, your encouragement is a blessing! I have only just submitted my poems on this site and am extremely surprised at how forthwith the readers are. And how much it keeps my work fresh by my looking at it in different ways, and hearing things that I hadn't even thought of! Great community here.
Thank you for all you've said and for taking the time out to do so.
Best regards,
Sue
