I found both a soothing and an inspiring message in your lovely verse. Yes, the high is much greater when you have suffered prior to seeing the goodness that is there if we but look with the right eye and attitude. Good job.

Can you write a poem that inspires? You certainly can! I enjoyed reading it from the first stanza to the last. Happiness is not a myth, it's music in the mists, and I can find it. So well-written and lovely. You are right. Uplifting is more appreciated after despair. Thanks for sharing.

Aww, uplifting, "note sung in exultation" Nicely written, good flow, very creative, and I hope it will help smooth my poor tired brain! Great job.

Comment from Gungalo
now I see a strand of warm
golds, high skies, treasured birds
of white grace, and blues
so deep and luscious pleasured
I can plunge my hands in, never measured,
and come out overflowing
in all five senses
So true how things can change in a flash. They are the things the guide us through our lives and remain to see us though.

Oh I LOVE this free verse poem! It is magnificently uplifting. The language is so powerful, and it flows like a dream. The occasional rhyme is wonderful as well. This is a marvelous entry, in my humble opinion.

Happiness is like sinking in water. If you hold your breath, you will rise again. A perfect note of happiness can be compared to your next breath of air. It keep you going.
