What a beautiful tribute to your son. Your description "forever grateful for his love" sets the stage for your brief but passionate words. It's difficult to express this love and loss in words--but you've done it well. elaine

    I will be forever grateful that I shared his love if only for a brief few years. That love changed me forever and the loss of him did as well. Thank you for the kind comments. CArol

What a handsom son you have. Your poem is a loving tribute to him and it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling in my chest. Short and to the point. Thank you for sharing it.

I'm touched by this lovely poem about your precious son, and I'm every bit as touched by your author's note which is a poem within itself: "My son, Michael, gave me four years of unconditional love and a lifetime of memories. What a beautiful poem which, as a mother, touches my soul. Your words are heart wrenching, yet happy in the fact that you had the blessing of having this precious child for four years. What a beautiful child and a beautiful poem as a remembrance of him.

This is a heart warming poem to read, Carol. You use simple words succinctly to convey a warm and loving mother's tribute to a beloved child too soon lost.

I would never think of making suggestions to your writing piece considering the nature of the subject but I do want to tell you that my favourite part was the whole thing!! He is so sweet looking!
