Nice poem. As someone who lives in a climate claiming cold and snow 7 months of the year, we have look and elevate memory time to include those snowy days and snow covered activities. It's not all spring, summer and fall. Thanks for reminding us of whats to come, not so far away. Good luck with the contest.

Fond memories here of winters enjoyed outdoors in the snow, retrieved from 'emotional repositories', b-r-r let's hope that chilly season is still some distance away !!!

I am a grandfather who can easily remember times like this with my children. The Speaker is able to recall one winter scene vividly. Your rhymes are fine, but your meter is inconsistent. Traditionally, most quatrains are written in tetrameter or pentameter.
