Friends are hard to find but keeping friends for good is rather harder; well said and well done; enjoyed the read; thanks for sharing; good luck. ALCREATOR

This is a very nice and well written 5-7-5 poem you have penned for the contest. You used very good descriptive words and very nice imagery. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Possibilities for friendship are everywhere.
A stranger is a friend you haven't yet met.
To have a friend, be a friend.
The platitudes apply.
A platitude is a truth you haven't yet verified.
Look around you.
Like Rumi says: Wake up!
Do you count ' dwindling' as three syllables, by the way??
I put those syllables at two.
Or is that a subtle way to allude to the eroded nature of 'dwindling' dropping one syllable even as we speak??
See MLA, APA & Chicago Manual of Style...

This poem speaks a truth in today's lockdown isolation days. It's hard to retain friendships, so they are dwindling. Everyone is afraid of germs.
I think long after the pandemic is over, there will still be a great fear of the killing germs, so it will continue as germ warfare disrupting everything. My opinion.
