Stan,
Very wise post on how God acts and has acted in our lives to help us be safe and healthy.
It's funny, the Bible was the first to claim the world was round, back when Columbus and his friends were all having that argument. There are soooo many things that man waited to find out FOR SURE when he had the answer in his hands the whole time.
Nicly done. Thanks!

I love seeing how science and learning and Christian individuals can be combined just fine. I'm always a little rusty on science, but the cleaning emphasis is a good one. This sounds like a good theme for a Christian school essay assignment: Joseph Lister is a credible example of why faith and science should not be one or the other.
Nice post.

Yes, I can remember the mosaic law incorporated personal cleanliness, which of course the people would have read as pleasing God, going outside the camp and burying their "Business" was also part of the messianic law, the washing before a meal. To the the credit of the Moslem Faith, they are immaculate in their ceremonial washing, and their clothing is immaculate, they would put us to shame. Beautifully written. Also the naming of the constellations, long before their secular "discovery". But arrogance gives God no credence at all, well done dear friend, I'm glad you wrote this, blessings Roy

Hey Stan. This is a very well written essay about "germs." I was familiar with Joseph Lister but I was not aware of his Quaker background and his spiritual approach to medicine. In looking at your Scripture references, I was also reminded of Leviticus 17:11 where the verse says "the life of the flesh is in the blood."
The most amazing thing to me though about the created body that we live in is for things that scientists are talking about now. Antibodies. Our body can build defenses on its own.
This essay is very interesting and is good reading. Good job.

Excellent essay here Stan. It is obvious you did your homework on this subject and the entire piece is very informative. The writing is done well but were it me I would have started with the oldest records ie, the Egyptians and moved forward, but no big deal. Job well done my friend. Bob

This is really good brother. I love the way you've intertwined science and the word of God. Lister was a brilliant man. Being a man of faith and adhering to biblical principles makes the average man or woman look like a genius. He of course wasn't an average man. We need not cower in fear at the corona virus as you've so eloquently stated. Jesus is the answer. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

What a very well-written, interesting piece. a great followup from your previous post. You've researched the evolution of medicine very well. I especially liked how you incorporated scripture in the piece, a very nice touch. Great job.
