A well written Minute Poem. I just didn't get what the temptation was really. Was it getting up to eat? The present was really nice and also the poem. Just clarify!

Thank you for your compliments and review. I thought I'd leave it up to the reader about what he/she was being tempted by or with.

Good one. Quite the presentation. It isn't easy battling with Satan. You have to be strong-willed. You know it doesn't always work. Never give up. Keep on fighting.

At my age, to be tempted again would be a gift. In reality, I believe we make our own choices and we can't blame anybody but ourselves. Blaming a fictional entity is a feeble excuse. Best wishes.

Oh, how delightfully daring is this poetic experience. Deeply affecting, the words and the picture painted! Powerful phrases are throughout.

The Lord and His word by His Spirit is the only way to get free of the devices of the devil. I love the message conveyed in this and enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

This is a very interesting poem and the language you use is rich with description. Well done! I would just consider adding in some punctuation, but otherwise your work is very engaging. Best of luck in the contest!

You're very welcome! I look forward to reading more of your work soon. If you would like, please have a look at my latest poems Mother's Daughter, In the face of angels and my short short story Lanugo. All still need a few tweaks here and there... In the face of angels is currently up for voting under the Love Poems listing, so fingers crossed.

This is very descriptive and uses the words well to create a detailed poem. It's interesting that it never says what the temptation is. I think the second verse is particularly good.
