I choose not to accept the challenge to write a similar poem, but I will comment on the one you wrote. In the absence of restraint, even the meekest of us is tempted to exult. Under the supervision and or control of the proper authority, even the boldest one among us will act as tame as a lion.

Nomi, I do appreciate very much your wisdom in the words that you scribe here. Thank you and I hope your weekend provides great relaxation and comforts.

Thanks for your comments. I just reliazed my mistake, that was supposed to be as tame as a lamb. I apologize for my inept typing skills and failure to pay better or closer attention.

Hello Friend,
Nice piece of poetry meeting the desired norms, having impressive and matching the theme phraseology, and beautifully depicting its theme.
Its style is particularly noteworthy.
Best of Luck!

Nicely done! And I like the synonyms starting with "Bounding" and ending with "Leap." Yes, we need to start bracing for the lion part of March to roar in soon! Best wishes in the contest!

Love this! Not the least reason being I am SO ready for the lamb of Spring and darn weary of the Lion of winter! You seem to have followed the format requirements with ease and I love your synonym choice! Hurrah to you!--Karenina

Karenina, thank you, I must however, admit it took a couple of stabs at the beginning and end to be correct. I too am in anticipation of these next twenty-one days to flow quickly to arrive at the beginning of Spring.

Good job gussying up the old adage with poesy and image (especially the beautiful illustration! I wish I could find some like that).
Good luck in the contest!

Don, thank you very much, I depend on FanArt 95% of the time.
-
You're very welcome.
I seldom use it FanArt because I always get a screen requiring membership, and run into trouble trying. Do you access specific artists' portfolios, or do a search?
All I can do is a straight search, and I've never seen super-professional
quality starting from scratch there, like your illustration and others.'
But, I generally do ok with Google and Bing,
:)

I start with a keyword search and plow through a lot of castaways to find the right companion. I do default to google from time to time.

Hello Poet
You've written an excellent poem for the Even-the -Odds contest
with very good imagery and contrast between the intruder lion
and the calming lamb.
The two synonyms are excellent and the Ides offers a good turning point
Well done
Best wishes in the contest
Robert
