Wow -- now that certainly says a whole lot...almost the form of an indictment. Great form and message for only 15 syllables... as they used to say back in the day: 'heavy'... :) :) Well written and best of luck in the contest! Yvette

Hello Bicpen,
You've written an interesting poem for the fifteen syllable contest
which has a feeling of antiquity in the old powers of Europe.
This could also be a strong fantasy poem which also emulates
olden times.
It is written like a contemporary haiku.
Well done
Best wishes in the contest
Robert

Many thanks my friend ... I wondered about what I could do with just fifteen syllables and there you have it. I am glad you can give me a synopsis as it helps with my own judgement on the piece ... much obliged.

I followed your poem very well and it was well illustrated. I was not so sure that I was following your author's notes, however. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed all of it. Perhaps you are suggesting something that I might not have considered. I like that. Good author photo also...and pen name.

Well the great principality that is Rome likes to devour and unfortunately we as Great Britain have been suckling on her for to long ... it is a small piece to declare our own resistance and liberty from such a dragon.

Mary's Dowry strikes me as somewhat regal, prime, and proper. It suggests a higher standard and structured dynamic. It almost feels royal if you will.

I wish you good luck in the contest.

well it may be if you have the eyes and perspective to see it as when you have fifteen syllables you gotta think about it ... but knowing me and competitions I'll get no where ...

I admired your spiritual, 15-Syllable Poem and your notes about the form. I especially liked your intensifying the message with the alliteration of "s's" and the "hanging line. Best wishes in the competition- Joan
