Hi Laura
So you are a fellow Canadian! I live on the outskirts of Saint John, New Brunswick. We still have a lot of green, not yielding yet to the cool nights of October. There are a few red leaves, but the peak of Autumn is still a couple of weeks away.
Your area sounds so nice. It made me remember Gordon Lightfoot's song about North Ontario,

I'm a big Lightfoot fan.
I enjoyed your Haiku entry. Is that your lake? What is its name?
So much red! The glory of Autumn has to burn through the fog first, eh?
I find late autumn is gloomy, but there's no prettier time of year than mid-October.
Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Thanks for your review. Of course, we are fans of Gordon L We are at the peak now and it is just gorgeous. The Lake in our town is called Lake Bernard the largest freshwater lake in the world without an island. The pic was similar but not mine.

As one who loves autumn--especially the first half--I can say HURRAH
to October and to this fine piece. You have made effective use of all of your syllables.

This is a Haiku Contest Entry.
Rich in Theme and Imagery.
(Based on Fall Colours)
...
It read well and Flowed well with no Grammar Issues as well.
...
Adjective Content and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.
...
Good luck with this and have a great day.

This is a very fitting and beautiful Autumn offering for the haiku contest! ;) I would suggest the removal of all punctuation and capitalization as these limited forms do not need such.... each word is important since there are so few and the line breaks ARE your 'pauses'..... ;) :) Thanx for sharing and best of luck! ;)

Your autumn colors in this picture are spectacular. Your words are very good. I hate to see fall season move on and welcome winter. The year has gone by too fast.

Thanks for your lovely well thought out review. I am not looking forward to winter as well. Last year we had so much snow.

Thanks for sharing this lovely poem about Autumn. This has to be my favorite time of year. The image with the shadow of the trees reflecting in the water is so vibrant. Early mornings in fall are the best.
Kind regards.

A very well-written haiku about the reds and golds of the autumn trees are a delight we like to see. It is like a fire in the trees when the sun rises and spread light over it all.

Neat images. Great picture too--although I don't see any fog. Maybe talk about early morning dew or show or crisp. Then let the light do something positive like displaying the show or God's hues.
I like the "red golds" part.
