Hello mystery writer. Give included a haunting picture with your verse. You have met the criteria of the Senryu poem. It is a timely piece and your description in verse of the picture is strong and ends as a resolution for the country.. Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written Senryu about the Twin towers that were brutally demolished after terrorists fly two planes into the building killing over 3000 people and the twin towers tumbled to the ground.

The nation did come round after that horrible day - and it made me proud to see the actions and prayers and thoughts of so many caring people. Yet I'm sure there are still folks suffering and sad after losing someone. And we must not let our guard down.
Good poem

I enjoyed the sentiment here as the people united in this tragic and cowardly act which only served to make America stronger than ever, as we remember, this is a great tribute to the people, love Dolly x

I like the bit of alliteration you added there, alliteration being my favorite poetic device. Good choice on the image, very settling.
Thank you for sharing!

What a great senryu. I like your tribute to the people who lost their lives on 9-11. I particularly like your words "their stature unweakened." The disaster did galvanize a nation. It's hard for me to believe that people can be so cruel to deliberately cause such pain.
Good luck in the contest.
