This humorous 5-7-5, The Fear in His Eyes, has the correct format and misinterprets the cats hearing with an olfactory assault.

Yes, but in all fairness to your cat, some farts do seem as though they are signal the earth's end. It sounds as though they are heaven's trumpets. So maybe your cat does feel the world is coming to an end when you pass gas.

Lol. Yes, at time they're loud enough to make my wife think the world's ending. Haha. Thank you for the great review, BP. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Cats seem to be afraid of everything. Great picture and good word flow. Good luck in the contest. I like short poems because they say more and get to the point.

I don't know of any other creature that has such fascinating and humous expressions as that of a cat. I wish you luck in the contest. A side note: have you ever wondered that while they have bred some breed of dogs so huge that they weigh well over three hundred pounds. Yet, they don't breed house cats to weigh any where near a hundred pounds?

You are most welcome. My thought is, if you had a hundred pound plus cat, I'd be most cautious. Do you think it would treat us much different than a mouse, if it was that large?

Absolutely hysterical, my cat is exactly the same way. My cat will literally jump at the littlest noise. What a great use of this form of poetry too. Thank you for this, your really made me laugh. In fact, my cat is giving me that strange look now cause I woke him us with my laughter.
