Comment from Gloria ....
Such beautiful artwork, Shirley and a fine poem to go with it. I truly am with you there is a symphony going on in the night that while might be mistaken for a cacophony it is truly, music to one's ears if it is absent.
Very much enjoy this beautiful presentation and verse. :)

Shirley, This is a very well written 5-7-5 about the sounds of nature at night. It is a lovely sound when I can hear from the house all the little sounds going on outside and even when we are walking outside at night it is so pleasant. Great words and adorable imagery from the art work. Blessings, Teri

Thanks Teri.
It's spring in Australia and it seems all in nature have 'chatter' to engage in night and day.

I love the word cacophany... I always admire those of you who used these multi-syllable words to fill these lines... sometimes I think that one well chosen word is better than all my smaller words! I love the second line, "is echoed in dark silence" there's a contradiction there that words, that makes sense... and then the last line just pulls it together... yes, it is! I can hear those frogs and crickets! love this!!!!
