Wow, Ricky ... this is so heartfelt and solemn. Your pennings are always so rich in spiritual vibrancy and wisdom. I only found the one nit, pointed out above, and love the image you shared. Is that yours? Self-Sacrifice is a hard pill to swallow for most, but you've made it seem so innocent and viable. Way to go, Ricky. Keep writing.

I think ive said this before its good you have found a creative outlet that allows you to cope with your grif. I lost an 8 month old son toSIDS, so i havecan idea what your going through. Thank you for sharing and making sure someone knows your son was here. Nice work.

Very moving, emotionally intense, and inspiring poem. The self sacrifice and transparency to God and man are sincere, and touched my heart. I relate to losses in life and God indeed is the Great Physician who, through our sufferings can bless and give "beauty for ashes".

I'm trying to become 'A Living Donor' and have seeked out a facility to donate a kidney on n
My birthday October 24th.
Jefferson Memorial University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I will be 64.
The Gift of Life to save a Life...
So they too can again enjoy their birthday.
It will bring me recongnization to promote 'Organ-Tissue Donations' on TV with Lara S. Moretti the L.S.W. with "The Gift of Life" in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
I may be the only Living Poet Donor in the World?
What do you think? And, I will finally publish my book The Gift of Life on possibly"Good Morning America".
