And a creepy looking little group of bones it is-you are right, but then again maybe kinda cute. What a very original series again and much enjoyed.

Thanks, FB.

great photo - who would not be scared? Only the other day someone asked if dragons existed and if so when did they become extinct - now your poem has me thinking must go onto google and do a search as it seems they are very much with us, even question myself.

Thanks, Anne, for giving this a look. Bill

I actually stood close to a Komodo dragon in a forest in Indonesia and learned they have superb vision, and yes, I was scared! This is the first time I have viewed their skeleton, and I appreciate the new perspective and your alliteration of "s's". Cheers- Joan

Somethings give off a sense of danger whether they are alive or not. Sometimes the sense of danger or threat is so strong that should you just get close to the skeletal remains, you can just sense how dangerous this thing was in life, be glad that it is no longer alive and then get the heck away just in case.

I don't laugh often but your poem (+ photo )is very funny.
It's obvious that your visit to the island and meeting the dragons impressed you immensely.
PS. one rescue granddog...do you mean it rescued people..like a San Bernard?

Rescue means he was in a shelter and adopted.

Well done .🎉
My family picked up a stray in town ...his paws were consumed ...the first few months were hard ..he would stay glued to us and was breathing anxiously constantly but as time went by he understood we were the real deal
...he gave us eight wonderful years !

Hi Bill. I miss your lobster!! Lol. This seems like a good entry for the contest. Maybe true for most people but not for me. No bones will scare me. But a live Komodo dragon. That is scary. Their saliva is so poisonous and a slow killer. They will bite a deer and follow it for days until it dies from infection. Then eat it. How awful. I don't know if you know Dean Kuch on here but he is weird like me. Most things people think of as horror does not bother us. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

Actually, nothing scares me, except reading Dean?s eerie poems.

If course, the question then arises as to what exactly are you afraid of....the fact that it's a skeleton or that its brothers might be looking for who turned their brother into a skeleton in the first place?! :)
Great 5-7-5 for the Komodo Kollection! :) ;) Yvette ;)

Not really afraid. Not really. Not me.
Comment from Gloria ....
I think almost anything can become scary if you have a mind to make it so. Excellent shorty, Bill. The one thing I find a leery is how fast they move, but generally if they're small, they're rather cute.
Great job and happy day to you. :)

I'm glad they aren't any bigger than they are. I know they can be very vicious, so I wouldn't be trying to pet one. I'm happy not to live where they are. They are very scary.

Lol. I guess so. The sheer size of it would be rather daunting. But I do like lizards of all kinds. It wouldn't be something I'd want as a pet, though. Good format and humorous message.
