Good job, Bucketlist, with your contest entry. Your 3 lines tell a true story that many ignore.
I believe this contest is for one verse only although the rules do not state that. I know that is your choice. Best wishes. Jan

Hi, Trisha,
Wouldn't it be wonderful if people came with labels like food? On some folks, it would tell us that they are full of poisons and caustic elements that would hurt us, while others would tell of a beautiful heart and enormous love.
Thank you for sharing your three-line poem and I wish you luck in the contest,

Ooh - clever piece, referencing the picture in your poem! I enjoyed reading this, and thinking about the question you have posed. What an interesting approach!

I'm torn, because on the one hand, the poem is lovely, but without the picture, it loses it's meaning. In this way you have extended the needed amount of words.
The poem itself is rendered meaningless without the words in the picture and no picture without the words would provide the context needed.

Your partner?s your choice
Live with, lover, meant to be
Perfection?s all three
Thanks for your 2 Star review

I was lucky enough to find someone who met all three criteria so, yes, I agree with you totally. The poem is romantic and hopeful, and fit the parameters of the three-line poetry contest and, as an added bonus, it rhymed. Nicely done.

Hopefully it's never too late - but thank you.

Ok, so you're saying a lover needs to be someone we love, someone we're willing to settle with, and someone we're meant for? Did I read that correctly, bucket? Now that's a whole heap of insight and questioning you've forced upon me today after traveling for a week, LOL. Three simple lines require so much reflection. Well done, again. I like it. Simple to understand, presented well, and thought provoking to boot. Great job and good luck in the contest.

You truly nailed it with this one. It is perfect even though I do believe there will only be two out of three. All three would make for a marriage made in heaven.

I'm not the contest police, but I wonder if this truly qualifies as a 3-line poem.
You refer to words in the image, therefore the poem doesn't work without them.
One man's opinion.
Peace, Lee

What a wonderfully idealistic statement in only three lines -- certainly should be the goal in all cases......but, then again, if it were how it worked all the time, we poets and authors might not have near enough material to work with, yes? :) :) :)
Well done and good luck in the contest? :) :)

Yes, to each action, there?s always a reaction. Idealistic poem, yet not so frequent. I think there?s little danger of poet famin because then we?d have the feast about the yummy taste of bliss! Thanks so much for your humorous review
