This Sedoka is so charming, I wish I had a sixer for you. The artwork is perfect for your piece and brings a feeling of nostalgia. Good word choices. Much luck in the contest. Marilyn

I am so pleased you enjoyed my nostalgic sedoka and the artwork. It was fun to put myself on the raft, hence the word choices. Rod

Beautifully expressed! Wish the young boys today could have that kind of experience instead of being tied to keyboards and phones and unfortunately, not at all "tongue tied about girls."

I really enjoyed your poem and the tribute to boyhood. I have a 12 year old son and I can see him doing this with a pal. It says a lot about the connection of friends and I like the phrase "timeless circles". The art work fits perfectly. I liked it so much when I re-read it that I changed 5 stars to 6.

Nice poem indeed. All these fancy names they have for poems can be quite confusing. I like the last half of the poem and I can connect to that and I think that most males can somewhat or somehow connect to it. Thanks for sharing

Writer boys will be boys won't they? They do the boys things like play ball, dish, run barefoot, marbles and all of the other stuff boys do but as you said when a pretty girl comes around their mouthes are left hanging open and they become speechless. And this happens to some of the big boys as well Lol.

A very well-written Sedoka. Boys are playing anywhere with little things to amaze them for hours on end. They forget the world around them and create their own where they are in charge.

I really like this for the contest entry. I certainly invokes a certain amount of nostalgia and the image you picked is spot on. Good luck in the contest and have a great day!

Yeah, this sounds like most really young boys. We would rather be fishing or playing ball or something else. I did like fishing and sports stuff, but, I was kind of a nerd. I loved reading and writing also along with coin collecting and rock collecting. I really like this well written poem. Well done.

"Boyhood" is a good sedoka poem. The syllable cont is correct throughout and I enjoyed the theme. The picture is great and helps to present your poem well.
