I join you in your remembrance and love as my own beloved father passed at 65--a sudden heart attack with no precursor of warning. Regardless of age, when we lose a parent (or both--my mom died at 60) ...we are orphans.

Hi Karenina, Thank you and yes mine died suddenly to he was mowing the lawn and just dropped down dead. very quick and wothout warning so no time for good byes it was hard but we have great memories. My Mum misses him terribly she is 83 soon and gets very lonely. Cheers Christine

This poem, I Miss My Dad, has a great meter and rhyme scheme, which finds us reading about an anniversary tribute to a passed dad. It is good to remember and honor him.

Hi Christine , this is a beautifully written emotionally charged post. It's been ten years since my mother passed away, and so many memories come each day. We feel them very strongly especially when the relationship was good. I sympathize with you.
