I really like this Antonym poem. I think it is so true and so cleverly written. So few words say such a lot and it has a lovely ring to it. Great picture. Well done and good luck

No, but I got an "honorable mention" :)

Couldn't stop laughing. I truly understand. It takes one, to know one. This could be a classic poster. The picture was really nice also. It's so ideal with the red going left and the cool color going right. The analogy, even though funny, is so sadly true for many people. Betty Davis

Thank you for the great review. I had in mind to create ambiguity about the last line. Kind of along the lines of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" ;-) Cheers, Craig

Ah, matrimonial bliss.
I like that you took the antonym ... I mean a different route with keeping, versus losing. Aside the humor it invokes... it also continues with the theme of the opposite of the start... in the sense of, true love... bliss and heaven, in finding your true mate. I like the complexity in the opposite of find being to never lose.
Working in a male-dominated profession, I find that a lot of men seem to complain about being married, and seem legitimately unhappy. Sadly, being happily married seems an oxymoron... or maybe it's just for the lucky few. I'd like to consider myself in the lucky few.

Well, since around 50% of all marriages end in divorce, it makes sense that there are a lot of married men and women who are unhappy. So if you are in the "few" who are happy, you should indeed feel lucky :)
I was absolutely miserable the first (and only "legal") time round. Second time round is a different story.
Regardless, this was actually just meant to be a humorous poke at the institution :)
Thanks for another great review, Turtle.

Haha ... yes, sometimes it can be HELL. Thank goodness it's more HEAVEN than it is HELL. :)
This is a fun read, Craig, and a great entry for the Antonym contest. Good luck in the contest! ~~ Connie

Thanks very much, Connie. After finding it was pretty much Hell for me the first time round, I decided not to make it "official" on the second attempt - worked out much better lol

I did the same thing, Craig. I highly doubt that I would ever marry again. (I was married for 37 years and the last 5 years were "Hell"). Living with the one I love is good enough for me. I don't need a piece of paper. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't, and less red tape to go through. :)

I think this is a good entry for the Antonym Poetry writing prompt.
A very good message in so few words.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Hi Craig!
I may have to tell Jayne on you lol. Besides, you know you have always wanted to be a kept man.
Good luck in the contest. You haven taken a unique approach.

Hi Kim! So the rumours of your demise are greatly exaggerated, I'm pleased to see!
Thanks for the fun review - sticking around a while?

Now Craig, I would think finding is so much harder than keeping...I love your opposite words and what you've done with them. Bravo. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

Comment from Gloria ....
This is really quite brilliant, Craig. Especially because that second part can have a few different meanings which I won't enumerate because I know you know already seeing as how you wrote it.
This really is fantastic so best luck to you in the contest.

Thanks so much, Gloria, for the wonderful review. Yes, the ambiguity was there in my mind - I'm glad you picked up on it. You're the first person to have said so. As always, I'm very grateful for your insightful comments.

Craig, This is a very well written Antonym poem you have penned for the contest. I do know that with my first marriage this was very true my friend. Very good wording and great imagery you used. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Well, Craig. It is definitely different, but in a good way. I like how you interpreted the 2 words to fit the rules of the contest. Also, those same words make sense as written. Best wishes. Jan
