If we believe and have faith in our Lord, he will make a path and bring to you what he believes is yours. In this case, in the eyes of her new love as well as the LOrd's she is not broken, she just needs to learn to fly in a different way. Beautiful!

Great love poem, it shows what faith can do. My wings are broken, my faith keeps me going, even if I don't find the ending I want, faith keeps me strong. It also makes the ride easier to take. Great write.

This is a wonderful entry in the contest, Pat, its full of loving thoughts and the reality of life...sometimes it takes time to meet a true mate, but when you do...its a lifetime of joy...I knew that kind of joy, although I met my husband at an early age...and I know you have had such a love too...Thanks for sharing your thoughts in this poem using rhymed quatrain verses, it was a pleasure...
