I relished the names of the skunks and your wordplay. The picture of the quartet caught my attention, and your lighthearted descriptions were amusing. Smiles- Joan

Look at them little stinkers. Ha ha! Like the color code. favorite lines: Skunk One: So are we ready to devastate this garden? I got dibs on that asparagus.
Skunk Three: I'll be nibbling on the green beans.
Skunk Four: I'll be eatin' cabbages, Savages.
Whole stinking thing was hilarious. this is funky garden.
BOO-tastic!

It is a very interesting analogy to try to understand skunks and how they communicate among themselves, and creative thinking on your part to show how they just might interact in any given day when a vegetable garden catches their noses and appetites As we humans try to avoid these creatures...trying not to set them off to cause a smelly reaction that can really mess up our day. Though they look so cute & harmless in this photo that highlights your dialogue, giving us a glimpse what four might be thinking a lot of the time in their skunk world, as this being for many creatures, I think that feasting on a tasty meal is first & foremost.
I enjoyed the read...C.

A very well-written skunk story. The only thing that really matters in skunk world is to know how and where to get food and a garden to ruin. No one cares about a name.

I can totally relate. Over the years I have been called Roland, Noel, Nate, etc. I tell everyone, that they can call me almost anything, just don't call me late for the meal.

What do you bet that poor Hank gets left out of all the good eats. Poor guy. Never could get his name in there.
I like the interaction of the four skunks, and the picture is so cute.
