A very well-written poem. When we seek God, we will find tranquility and peace within our soul despite the chaos around us. He will always be ready to help us.

It comes from simply knowing
You are the one who has control
Of your mind and physical body
While He will help with your soul
IF only we could all remember this more often, wouldn't life be easier?
I found no errors. It's a very lovely and comforting poem.
Well done,
Jan

This speaks about divine help as the poet knows tranquillity comes from inside or within when we connect with God, so is the appeal for help to connect with soul; I like. DR ALCREATOR

"It is the inner feelin of peace Of calm versus the storm." I love this part, of your poem. You nailed it. The inner peace is only found with the Lord. Enjoyed reading your piece! I wish you luck with your entry!

'Ask and you shall receive'. This is so true, you have only to ask Him to show you the way and He will answer. In faith all things are possible. Excellent poem. Thank you for sharing, NB

I like the thesis behind this one as expressed in your final two stanzas:
"It comes from simply knowing
You are the one who has control
Of your mind and physical body
While He will help with your soul "
There's not much we can do to shape the soul, but the mind and the body are a different matter entirely.

Good morning, Trisha:
I am finally finding some time to do a little reading. I've been trying to catch up with some of my other required paperwork and typing.
Yes I see this poem and I know what you mean. I agree that this inner calm had to come from God. He was and is the only way to calm and rid the monster we create with in ourselves and the demons we allow inside our lives. "Call on the name and you will be saved" and "Keep on asking and you will receive." I'm also thinking of the scripture:
Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (King James version)
Matthew 6: 33 - Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you.(New World Translation (Study Edition)
Also:
Psalms 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon thy Lord, and He will sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (King James Version)
Psalms 55:22 - Throw your burden on Jehovah, and He will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fail. (New World Translation (Study Edition)
I could go on and on with the scriptures that it reminds me of but I don't have that kind of time. The truth is I had to turn to God to get the help I needed. He is the only One who took all wrong desires out of my heart and my system. I called on His mighty name and was made well. Thank you for this awesome poem.
