Sometimes it feels as if all hope is gone, as the losses accumulate. We live in a harsh world where money has more value than human life, and where so many people seem bent on blaming the innocent. If I didn't hold on to a little faith in human nature I'd be lost, but I'm hanging on to that faith by a thread. Reading posts like yours encourages me, and I thank you for that. It's an excallent poem. I'm grateful that you shared it. you got my vote.

An excellent contest entry. It reflects on one point of view albeit a rather dismal one. I choose to be a glass half full guy but there is room for both thoughts.

Yes, lets, I couldn't agree more.
We are politically correcting ourselves into obscurity as a nation and a people.
Our flag is being burned and spat upon. Intolerance is rampant.
Certain radical groups who profess to be protectors of ALL human life cry out for our policemen and policewomen to be slaughtered like sacrificial lambs.
It's time to STOP being "pc" and time to start standing up for what WE feel is right for our respective countries, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
