The art work was great
for the words and so
much said in a few words.
Enjoyed reading this.
I loved the smile on the fire fly
Quite entertaining.

Hi Annie,
The artwork was in honor of Nash's poem (enclosed in the author's notes) "firefly". Thank you so much for reading and commenting.

LOL - Well. . .if you are going to write a nonet
what better poet than Og-den Nash ;-)
Witty indeed - and a bit of a punster, but
I've always enjoyed his humor and playfulness
with the language :-)

I think he would have enjoyed your little tribute to him! I sure did!
Especially the hilarious observation:
'There's really just no telling
What words he's misspelling --"
Wonderfully penned funny piece!

Hi Jyoti!
Thank you for the great points noted in your review. He was an absolute hoot! Who knew you could get famous by just changing the spelling/pronunciation of a word to make it work in your rhyme lol Not sure we could all pull that off, but he was awesome at it!
I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

I enjoyed reading your nonet in the style of Ogden Nash. His poetry was a hoot. I think he had a great deal of fun with it--as much for him as for the reader. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn!
I think you are correct, he is a hoot! I really like his boldness... if you need to change the word to make the rhyme, just do it lol and he's famous for it ;) funny guy! Thanks for the great review!

This was lighthearted and enjoyable in a perfect syllable count for this Nonet, one of my personal favorites. I am sure Ogden would be pleased.

Kim,
I enjoyed your nonet. Good job on the syllable count. These are not easy to write and retain good flow and meaning without just lines that do not interconnect. However, yours was great. There is good natural flow and a story to tell. Good job. The notes were informative, too. Thanks for sharing. The artwork is awesome. Jan

Hi Janny:
I thought the silly firefly was fitting for his poem, Firefly. Thank you for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate your kind comments.

I enjoyed your notes on Ogden Nash and I enjoyed reading a few of his poems :) I like how he made up his own words to rhyme with. Your nonet is entertaining and delightful. April 13 today, so we're almost at the half-way point for this napowrimo challenge. I've enjoyed all the daily poems.

Hi Joy,
Yes, totally celebrating the 'almost' halfway point today! I found Nash to be so amusing and yes, he did just that. If the word wasn't quite right, he just changed the spelling or pronunciation to meet his needs lol We could do that, right? After all, he was famous! lol Thanks for a great review!

Hi William,
He was quite the character. My favorite poem by him (so far) is "The Boy That Laughed at Santa Claus." Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

A neet nonnett hoorray hoorray
Like Ogden I can't spell twodai
It is a good thing he is not on Fanstory. There's a reviewer here who would give him a two for the words she didn't understand.
