How delightfully splendid, Poet. Keats, Nash, and Chaucer, of course, and a host of other famous poets mentioned here.
Thanks too for the very extensive and informative author's notes.
Those are always greatly appreciated, at least by me.
Well done...

It sound's like a very interesting party. You use old poets and a couple newer once some famous poem titles and lines to show your love of poetry. It makes us think that this sight is filled with some old and new greats. Which it is.
Good luck in the contest

Hi Dragonpoet,
My idea for the month of poetry was what if we could have them all together in one room. How amazing that would be! :)
Thank you for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate your kind comment.

Nice prologue. Sounds like a fun celebration. I look forward to reading more of your poems throughout the month. I remember reading the Canterbury Tales in high school. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate poetry as much back then, and found so much of the language hard to understand. I'll have to revisit it.

I love this prologue to your fun and educational book celebrating various poets and their unique styles and themes. This is an all- star cast you announce here, and I am anxious to catch up on the individual performances. This is exactly the kind of thing Imlove to read, and I am sure many will feel the same way.

This is such a clever write, Kim! Talking about all the great poets as if they are in present day is a very original premise. Your poem is entertaining and fun! I love it! Your Abcedarian poem is delightful and your choice of artwork is perfect.
"This poetic party's a wordsmith's perfection" ... loved this line ... great alliteration. "Ladies he's a romantic though riddled with grief" ... lol
To celebrate poetry month in Calgary, a friend and I attended a Poetry Slam this past Monday, and we were talked into being one of three sets of judges. That was a lot of fun. Most of the poets were college kids, and they had quite a bit to say. I was very impressed with their talents. I hope to attend the final slam in a few weeks.
Thanks for your author's notes, Kim ... very informative!

Thanks, Connie! :)
I thought it would be a fun premise for my book of poetry this month. I found a book at the used book store titled, "Poet's Corner" and am reading as well as writing for my poetry celebration this month. The book has poems and background on the author's, which I'm planning to share in my author's notes. I thought it would be fun to introduce the poets to our community. What better venue than a party to celebrate? lol I have no idea where this is going to end up, we'll just have to see where my muse takes me this month :)
Thank you for this generous and wonderful review.

This is very well written and if I hadn't already joined, this would make me want to do so. All the greats can't top those of us on Fanstory. Thank you so very much for this month of fun, my friend~Debbie

I have proven over and over, if I try to "make production" on a keyboard
I create mediocrity(being kind). Some can, some need to wait for the gutfire. Excellent abc thingy.
