this was a great poem. I love the overwhelming feeling that you get about that special someone. That one person that makes you want to cry just thinking about them. Love is such a strange emotion and what it does to a person, and how it makes a person doubt themselves, and tears them up inside. But at the same time it is the most wonderful feeling in the world.

Hi Ms Missy,
what a truly gorgeously presented poem... the visual expression set up a rather reflectively progressive set of verses... the first being the effect of a soulful connection... then the taste of happy desire in contemplation... the next gives the lingering pause and hovers in hope of recognition and the confused realization of what may never be... and for me the most powerful emotion- that of not having any choice in the matter of the deepness in which heart knows the bonded connection... yes, they are very true and enduring feelings that lead into the next verse... never being able to divulge the eruption of built-up emotion that leaves a swirling-swollen energy in the pit of ones stomach... and as if the pain was yet not enough, the fear of a reciprocated rejection... which for me, just allowed these sad thoughts to linger all that much further... and the thought of...'what if?'
Truly magical Missy... yes, a very beautiful, albeit sad composition that left this reader... well, a tad empty with the feeling of disjointedness and loss of something never possessed.
So for me, anything that evokes such emotion... whether that be sadness, happiness, remorse or regret has reached its objective right where it lives... in the heart-strings of the reader... Outstanding!
