love the picture you guys chose this time. It reminds me of the Pacific Ocean, The poem went nicely with the picture, showcasing the turmoil of emotions after being hurt by someone. Great job.

:) Hi there, I am delighted that you stopped by and read and reviewed for the lousy 2 cents. I wish you had been around for the higher 67 cents. You review is especially nice considering this :)
Always,
Missy

Your love was that for me
a sleepy cove
with tides of love

A little more into the whimsical love, a little less sex this time?
Although it does sound like he tried...
Sounds akin to the emotions you left ...within me /Pounding unceasingly/ making no headway
But you opted for the softer gentler...
Your love was that for me a sleepy cove / with tides of love/ lapping gently on the shore
excellent poem girl, very visual.

Hi there MS Missy,
I hear them too... I thought it to be my shores the only to erode... the echoed of thundering reoccurring thoughts... forever pounding-crumbling any hope that crashed upon my fragmented heart... ripping and gouging at the serenity that once was so abundant within the moonlit shimmer upon the rolling swell of desire... the unquenchable need that stilled my surging waves... yes, the one that delivered me to that sleepy cove with tides of love lapping so gently on the sandy shores of security... mine is just a thought-wave away in an idyllic destination... where suffering is only the thought of never ending.
Well, you know I can't help myself when presented with the taste of romance... and well, the title...'Waves of Longing' that was the perfect set up to what followed... your words stirred emotions and allowed me to dive into your wondrous waves of thought and all that from a picture... yes, I loved it... and yes, I hope your tide turns, for I feel you have so much to give... your heart sings it.
With our thoughts we create,
emotive metaphors,
James vx's.

Missy, what a wonderful poem you have written to this picture. It express all the longing you have for the love in your life, just as the sea can evoke the same emotions. I liked this a lot and good luck in the contest. All best, Ulla

Hi girl!!! I have missed seeing you. I hope you have been well and busy :)
Thank you, sweetie, for this lovely review. It is not a contest hon. It is just a group of writers that I would love to see your name added to, who each take turns giving the group a piece of artwork to write a poem for. :) Come join us!!
Always,
Missy

It is the longing to feel that comfort again that aches so much. Your imagery and rhythm are excellent and I enjoyed the poem. I like how you used the crashing waves and the pounding to express your pain while waiting for the tide to turn then letting the reader know how his love was like a sleepy cove with soft lapping movement, like soft love making, gently held you close. Oh to have that comfort one time.
Very Good.........
