Excellent contest entry, I love the idea of a haiku suite. It allows you to expand on a subject, and this one turned out nicely. Poor bird of paradise though! Outdone by a waterfall. I have a feeling he'll find a way, nevertheless.

This is an interesting piece. I didn't realize it was 3 separate haikus until I read your notes. You have 3 separate pieces that each are powerful, but together they are even stronger. The haikus are so powerful as they say so much with so little. Good job and good luck.
