Missed out on entering this contest but you picked my favorite animal and endangered species, the tiger. Your play 9on word s was a clever way to get the point across. Congratulations on the win;.

Grand play on words. Both sad and funny. Yet one day that tiger will have no teeth. Karma? Beautiful picture to compliment your words. I wish you well with the entry.

Great final line with the play-on-words. Good use of alteration "feasts the famished tiger" strong phrasing that adds to the image of the tiger as a strong hunter.

Mystery writer: beautiful tiger photo being so proud and mighty. When they are hungry, man can be the meat. Man can also kill the tiger for medicine. Man vs tigers, which one is weak? Great entry. flylikeaneagle

Excellent haiku! Everything is spot (or should I say stripe) on, from the majestic picture to the syllable count and concrete imagery to the satori line at the end. I love the feast - famished contrast and my favorite

the tigers always go for the weakest in the herds for it is easy pickings for them and a fast food item so to speak in the animal world.

Dear writer,

Maybe the poachers tell the customers it is chicken. It probably tastes a lot like bald eagle if barbecued. It is very sad because there are so many endangered species. When will humans learn to be good stewards of the environment.

Warm regards,

Winslow
