Geoff, I am sorry you are losing your hearing. To lose even one of our senses is troubling and difficult to deal with. Blessings my friend for a good resurrection day. Patricia

Thanks Sis much appreciated

To laugh at your impairment shows what kind of upright character you are. The poem sounds right for the hearing impaired and I most certainly wish you the best on the hearing aid.

Thanks very much. Think we have met before?

Interesting. At first I didn't know what the title referred to. I can see why you want people to stay on the right side of you--the hearing side. I love the wording for your sign and the rhyme. Well done, and glad you were able to see some humor in your situation. judi

Well done for being able to talk about a personal and sensitive issue such as this. This makes for very powerful writing and reading.

So sorry to hear about your deafness, I can relate from just losing a little of my hearing because of age, so I can image being almost completely deaf. I pray you get some satisfaction soon.

G'day Geoff, I was going to laugh until I read your author noted YIKES! It must have been a challenge as a kid to be deaf in one ear I reckon. I hope these new hearing aids do their job and then you'll be cool brother. Cheers Fez

Actually mate when I got my first Left hearing aid in my twenties I was so thrilled to hear stereo for the first time. I have gone into more detail about my hearing well prior to this recent diagnosis , in my autobiography. Hope you have read soe of that.

Hi Geoff ...
Loved this ... poking a little fun at a serious issue. My wife, Di, is deaf in her left ear, too. Well, 80 - 90 percent deaf.
Here's hoping the new hearing aids will improve your hearing. Will start reading your wife's journal next week. Looking forward to it! Best to you, mate ...

It is discouraging how we deteriorate as we get old. I don't like it much but must accept it. Hope your new aids work well for you.

Thanks Sis appreciate your prayers too for degenerating Vertebrae at base of my spine. I need to lose weight and one way that will happen is resuming my walking. I stopped because of the vertigo attacks but Louise came with me on one of my old walks the other day in her Power chair so that is what we will do. Thanks again.

I need to lose weight too and it's harder with age. I eat far less but the pounds just won't come off. I'll pray for you and you pray for me and hubby who experience horrid pain in his neck vertebras.

Thanks mate. Appreciated.

Losing one's hearing is not an easy thing to deal with. I have recently been having issues with a constant ringing in my left ear. I hope the hearing aids will provide you much needed assistance.
Take care.
Christelle.
